Brain Trauma Awareness Organization

The Brain Trauma Awareness Organization(BTAO)  began as the Quincy Area Brain Injury Support Group in 1982. In 2013 the group expanded their mission and became a ThinkFirst chapter. Currently, a board of directors coordinates the organization’s activities which include providing advocacy and support to those who have had injuries.

Community Awareness(BTAO)

The group provides speakers, evidence based prevention programs and other seminars regarding brain trauma and spinal cord injury.

Topics include:

  • Prevention Strategies
  • Signs & Symptom of Brain Trauma and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Share success Stories
  • Post Injury Guidance

BTAO acts as advocates by connecting to community and social services. As well as providing information to help re-entry back into school and work.
